Habitat Management and Creation

  • Why Manage Habitats?

It is a common belief that land ‘left wild’ is beneficial to wildlife, but this is very often not the case.

‘Re-wilding’ open spaces is fantastic, but most wild habitats need on-going management to maintain their value to wildlife. Without management, habitats often grow towards low quality woodland, or are taken over by invasive species or scrub.

  • What can we do?

We create, restore and manage all natural and semi-natural habitats. No matter what their condition, we can guarantee huge improvements in terms of wildlife value and use.

We provide expert advice and management plans for habitats, project managing sensitive sites and provide ongoing care for spaces intended for use by wildlife.

  • Habitats we frequently create, restore or manage include:

    Wet Meadow
    Heathland
    Ponds / Wetlands
    Grassland
    Woodland
    Sand Dune
    Scrub
    Wildlife Gardens
    Mixed Use Private Land
    Hedgerows
